Happy Birthday to Meeee, Happy Birthday to me! It was on October 24,just now settling down from all the excitement.

Man I had an awesome party! It was suppose to be a pool party, but we were having so much fun that we didn't even get a chance to get in the water. Mommy said it was a good thing to cause the water was a bit cool.

I had all my friends and family over to help me celebrate.

Have I mentioned that I LOVE cupcakes. I mean, seriously there is nothing better to eat. Everyone else got up to play, but I stayed around to make sure I finished my birthday cupcake and everyone elses.

The icing was so good and I got it everywhere, even on my toes.

After eating the other 7 kids cupcakes, well at least their icing, the sugar rush kicked in. Mommy is still trying to get that red icing out of that shirt. Don't worry mom, I will have outgrown it before long.

Speaking about outgrowing..... Our family has grown too, since Grace has come along mommy has decided to do only one blog for us. So this will be my final post at chasepowell.com

I Have Toes

Chase points to these things when mommy asks him, Where are Grace's toes. They are attached to these chunky things called feet! I love my feet and the toes taste so good. In fact Chase saw how much enjoyment I was getting out of my toes that he tried.

When mommy looked at him he had dirt all around his mouth. She didn't get a pic of that, he was rushed immediately to the sink! lol Guess he likes his toes with a little extra dirt.

I am getting so good with my hands that I can grab a toe in no time, still prefer my thumb though.

Chase is the best big brother ever, he still likes to help me out and get my paci when I drop it.

He gives the best spontaneous kisses ever, well maybe mommy is a close second.

I have been working on my muscles and getting them strong. Tummy time is getting much better now I can lift my head to watch TV!

Sprout channel is one of my favorites. Chase is going to be 2 next weekend and mommy just finished his bday card for Chica's birthday shout outs. Lets hope his card gets picked to be shown that day.

I am starting to show a few traits from the ole parents. I like to watch tv like daddy, and chat up a storm like mommy. Here I am telling her all about my day.

Alright mom I will let it pass this post for Chase's blog, but I am ready for the roll out of ChaseandGrace.com Now I am letting you sleep longer, you better get crackin or I will be waking you up every couple of hours again!

We are superstars!!! Our show aired yesterday and we couldn't be happier. The whole process was so enjoyable and we would like to give a few special thanks.... Thank you to Cyra Mobed and her team for filming and making the whole experience so much fun. Thank you to Dr. Desouza, Carla Layne, Barbara Epes and Coral Springs Medical Center for taking such good care of mommy. And a HUGE special thank you to mommy's delivery nurse Samantha Gur. If it wasn't for her I think mommy would have kept Grace in there a little bit longer.

Mommy was in active labor when she arrived at the hospital, the whole thing took only two hours. Five pushes and Grace came out "sunny side up", ah like an egg??? Oh mommy said that it means she came facing up instead of facing down.

Well we will be watching the show over and over again for years to come. When I was "little" (now I am a big Brother) I was featured in the Miami Hearld and a launch of a website called Miami Moms, Grace has her big debut with A Baby Story.....Now what are mommy and daddy going to do for the next baby to come?

psst that was just a joke about a new baby :) Mommy is trying to convince dad for a more Permanent solution!

One month till my bday!

Can you believe that I am going to be 2 already! Mommy and Daddy can't believe it. Grace will be 4 months on my 2nd bday. We are going to have a pool party... Pool party in October you say... yes a pool party. Lucky for me the weather in South Florida is nice enough to do so.

We are also gearing up for Halloween. Mommy has a trunk full of awesome dress up costumes for us to play with. Grace and I had our cousins Kai and Mya over for a little dress up party. We were having so much fun, that Baker and Copper wanted to get into the mix as well. Mommy and Aunt Patricia thought we looked so cute that mom did an impromptu photo shoot. Would you believe it, she actually got two pictures of all of us in one spot. Aunt Patricia had a little wrangling to do, and did a good job!

Grace and I love it when our cousins come and play we always have fun. Kai was a wizard, I was a gentleman from New Orleans, Copper was a cheerleader, shhh don't tell him it is a girls costume, Mya was Princess Belle and Baker was her Beast, get it Beauty and the beast. She kept saying come here Beast! lol Grace sat in the side lines away from all the excitement just watching. Mommy said she was too small to be around all that excitement. But no worries, she is getting big and strong and will join the dress party soon.

I had my first bubble bath the other day, and man that was fun! I kept trying to lick the bubbles, they didn't taste as good as I thought they would.

Grace is getting so big, she is kicking and gaining better control of her hands. She is still a big thumb sucker and likes to hold on to a burp cloth like it is her lovey. She is all smiles when I come around. I love playing with her.

Ah yes, the ole baby in a teacup! That is right Grace, it is a right of passage in this household. All babies must be in a teacup at some point in their life. Here I am at 7 months in the teacup, so 2 months for you, geez mom is stepping up her game!

A Baby Story - Our Episode to Air

Alot has been happening around our house. We wrapped up the final shooting for A Baby Story. Grace and I keep mommy very busy, and she hasn't had a whole lot of time to take out her camera, much less update the blog.

I have started to express my artistic side with coloring. It is so much fun to scribble all over the pages. I have made several masterpieces that can be purchased for a reasonable price. One hug is the going rate for my artwork.

Mommy is trying to get Grace interested in Tummy time to build up her muscles. But all she wants to do is suck her thumb. Even I tried to help out and show her how it is done.

Dress up is becoming the new hot trend in our home. I LOVE to wear daddy's shoes around the house. Beware if you visit, I am really into shoes and might try yours on.

I still help out where I can, mommy and daddy can use a break every now and then. Feeding myself is really helping mommy out, although mom you really shouldn't have given me a bath before I ate spaghetti...

Life with a Newborn

Life with a newborn in the house is AWESOME! I get to see all my grandparents, cousins, Aunt & Uncle, and my Great Grandparents too!

Grace is such a good baby, seriously all she does is drink a bottle, sleep, and mommy and daddy change lots of diapers.

The rest of the time everyone spends with me, something about me not feeling the stress of a new baby. Ha like that would ever happen... I love my baby sister. I get to help out, changing her diaper, feeding her!

Also there is a word mommy says, overcompensate, which means I get A LOT of new toys to play with! So when Grace is getting her bottle I let mom or dad feed her and I get to build stuff or try to ride my bicycle.

Well Daddy put together the bicycle and the back wheel kept falling off. Mommy said it was a death trap, so I got a new Red tricycle! So much fun!!!!

Grandpa Mickey and Dad spent alot of time with me playing while mommy was taking care of Grace. They also cooked dinner for the family every night. I got to try out my Grandpa Mickey's famous fried chicken. Don't worry Grace I will save a leg for you, I know I will keep it in my pocket for when you are ready!

Life with a Newborn for a big brother is awesome. Although mommy and daddy aren't getting much sleep.

I am so happy Grace is my little sister. I love her.....

Poor Grace... Mommy has been taking tons of pictures since she came home. Fortunately for me mommy didn't have her super duper camera when I was born. But I was the reason she upgraded and has become so Good!

These two black and whites were taken by Aunt Lori, we just love them. That is the only way mommy can be in a picture, thanks Aunt Lori!

Grace, a little bit of advice, mommy will not give up. It is best that you just grin and literately bare it.

If not, she will continue to set up shoots to get just the right shot.

It really isn't all that bad, I must say we are two of the cutest kids around.

Here are some of mommy's latest and greatest of Miss Grace.

I think mommy has come a LONG way since she first started out. Don't believe me, go back and check some of the old post! She got her camera just over a year ago and what a difference.

A Star Is Born

I would like to introduce the world to my Baby Sister Grace Lorraine. She was born June 24th, 20 months exactly from when I made my first appearance!

She weighed 7 lbs, 11 ounces, born at 10:11 pm. Even though this is my blog I will let Grace tell her side of the story from here. After all mommy says Caring is Sharing!

Narrated by Grace:

So I over heard mommy saying how cool it would be if I was born on the 24th because my Big Brother Chase was born on the 24th, 20 months ago. I wonder what Big Brother Chase looks like, I have heard him talking baby talk to me in mommy's belly. So I thought, why wait till Friday to be induced and go ahead and come on out! That would be pretty cool.

So I kicked things in gear as soon as mommy put Chase down for bed that night. Chase told me to not give too many details so that way everyone will be surprised when the show comes out. Lets just say I wanted to make sure I arrived on that day and didn't waist anytime!!

This is mommy's Dr Desouza, she was the first person I saw! Then I got to meet my mommy and daddy, wow they are so happy to see me. I think mommy looks fantastic for just going through the ordeal I just put her through. But just like my Big Brother, I look just like Daddy. Sorry mom all the work and none of the glory. Good think my Daddy and Chase are so handsome.

On the way out of the house I could hear my cousins Kai and Mya asking mommy if Baby Grace was going to come out and play! I was so excited to meet them and play with them, it was nice to put faces to the voices.

They released us so fast from the hospital that I got to meet my Nana and Papa Rider at home.

Mya says I am her BFF, I can't wait to have tea parties and play dress up at Grandma Downs house.

Lights Camera Action

Ok ok I know it has been FOREVER since I have updated everyone on what has been happening in our little world. But I have been a very busy little boy and will update you with all the crazy excitement that has been taking place.

Lets see where to begin. Well we have been waiting for Grace’s arrival, mommy especially. During one of mommy’s doctor appointments she spotted a flyer for a TV show called “A Baby Story” on TLC. She saw that flyer every week while checking to see how Grace was doing in her belly. The show was looking for families having babies who were going to arrive around the time Grace was suppose to come on out and say Hello. So mommy thought hey why shouldn’t she just send them an email and see if they might be interested in our growing family. Of course I knew they would be interested, I am destined to be a superstar! Well Mommy and Daddy think so anyway.

Well they were interested in filming our family before Grace came, her big arrival, and come back and see how we are all adjusting. We had a film crew at our house all day on a Monday and Grace made her big debut on that Wednesday! They almost didn’t make it, but you will have to watch the episode to see what took place. I promise it will be a SCREAM!

Grace ended up being the first Florida birth for the show and the hospital was so excited about her arrival that they issued several press releases. Here are just a few. We have been written up in two local papers and a few more to follow.

Aunt Lori was nice enough to come over and take our family portrait!

Mommy has been taking it easy and not really working to

much, which is fine with me cause I get to see her more!

Check out that belly, even though mommy is scarfing down a dozen chocolate chip cookies as she types this for me, believe me that there is a baby in there, not just ice cream and cookies!

We thought Grace was going to make her appearance earlier in the week but it was a false alarm. She is cleared to come any day now, mom just reached 37 weeks and she should be ready to come on out.

Last Friday mom got an ultrasound and she weighed 6 lbs 3 ounces! So until she makes her appearance she and mommy will be packing on the weight.

Daddy laughs at her saying a half gallon of ice cream is not safe anywhere near our house.

A Girl! I am going to be a big brother and have a baby sister here shortly.

Hello World I would like to introduce you to my Little Sister Grace Lorraine..

I got to go to mommy's 3-D ultrasound and take a look in her belly. And you know what, she really does have a baby in there and not just storing all that ice cream. And let me tell you, Grace must really like Ice Cream cause we always have it in the house.

Here she is waving to me, can you see her hand?

I told her a funny joke and she is smiling in this picture.

My baby sister will be here before you know it, last due date was June 28th. Everyone asks mom if she will do a website for Grace like mine, but she is thinking of combining us together. Either that or she will have to quit her job and Grandpa isn't too fond of that idea! Stay tuned for Grace's arrival.

17 Months

I am almost 1 and 1/2 year old! I am told that I have developed quite a Spirited personality. Let me take you through a typical Sunday at our house.

We get up and mommy makes us breakfast. Sometimes I take a nap, but not always! After breakfast It is play time!

I have found this soapy substance called bubble magic. When mommy blows through a tiny ring a bunch of round poppy things come out. She calls them bubbles, Copper and I love to chase them around the patio trying to catch them in our mouth.

Mommy got tired of using the little wand thingy and got this super bubble blower! It makes thousands of bubble appear within seconds, so much fun!

Here is a video of me playing with it! You can hear my one word I say crystal clear... Uh Oh! I am gibber gabbing, and doing the baby sign language, but I am holding out on completely talking.

After lunch it is pool time! I love jumping in and out of the pool it is so much fun. Although I am having a hard time swimming and keeping my tongue in. I like to take a drink every now and then. It is like a giant dog bowl!

Whew all that swimming has made me hungry. Time to help mom in the kitchen with dinner. Ok mom got the salad spinner out, what is next?

You say you need some pots and pans, ok I am on it.

Peek-a-boo I see you. I am such a big helper to mom at dinner time.

At the end of the day I like to kick back and have a night cap with my dad. We were so busy this Sunday that neither one of us made it through our bottle.

Mya and Mommy's Birthday

Mya, Mommy, Grandpa, Grandma, and Poppa all celebrate their birthdays in April!

Mya turned 3 and Mommy turned 33! Notice the cake, very clever Grandpa and Aunt Patricia!

We had a bbq and I got to play with my cousins Kai and Mya. Daddy was there too, he was my chauffeur for some of the time!

Mya got a bike from Grandma and Grandpa! Man she sure can make it go fast. I got to ride my Ninja Uncle Scott got for me at Christmas. It is just like mommy's old one!

After lunch we had cake and there was plenty of us to sing happy birthday, our usual paparazzi was there to capture it all!

Kai and Mya brought Uncle Scott and Aunt Patricia. Grandma had to go out of town, and we sure missed her.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter and Tax Day Everyone!!!! Whew it has been a month. We have moved and mommy is finishing up a busy tax season. Finally she found her camera that was packed away. She took a few quickies on Easter Sunday. Now that tax season is over she should update the blog a little more, well at least till the new baby comes and she is sleep deprived!

This year I got to be a bunny and find some Eggs around Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandma bought me this cute costume and mommy gave me some whiskers. My whiskers are a little lopsided, but it isn't easy using liner on a moving toddler. That liner tickled and made me laugh, I put my hands on my cheeks a few times!

Earlier in the week I made mommy and daddy an Easter Card. Here dad is proudly holding it up!

Did you know that the Easter bunny gives you money! I am rich, I got a few pennies and a nickels too. Straight to the piggy bank it went.

Here I am doing my Easter GQ shoot. I am such a ham, but not for long. After a bit I have had enough. I am on to mommy's tricks to get me smile and immune to the camera.

I hope everyone had a super Easter. And Happy Tax Day to you. Mommy is finally getting some much needed time off, she can't wait to spend all day with me, oh and dad too!

Renaissance Fair

I went to the Renaissance Fair over the weekend with my cousins Kai and Mya. We had a great time, Mom, Grandpa and Aunt Patricia went too.

They had all kinds of great things at the fair. We got to see an acrobat show, and Doctor Kaboom! He blew up things and made lots of noise. Kai loved watching him blow up a hard boiled egg, it went everywhere.

While Kai played in the bounce house, Mya and I played in houses that are just our size!

We got to eat Ice Cream. Hmmm it was so good, Kai and Mya liked theirs too. Aunt Patricia got mommy some Fried Oreos, she had to fight Grandpa for the last one!

Never get in between a pregnant lady and a Fried Oreo, it can be ugly!

At the end of the day we watched a joust! Mommy liked it but I was so tired that I just chilled in my stroller eating my fruit loop roll up. The park was filled with dirt that mommy and I were covered!

Snow Day

We had a cold streak a week or so ago, and mom thought it would be cute to do something with my snow hat. She quickly realized that now I am mobile it takes a little bit more to get me to sit in one spot. That little something is called Cherrios.

I was so busy eating my Cherrios I forgot to look at her and smile.

Once the Cherrios ran out, so did my patience for the photo shoot. Wait, is that a Cherrio in my Belly Button?????

Happy Valentine's Day

Mommy and Grandma took these pics to celebrate V-day. I tried with all my might to get those little candies, but couldn't get through the plexiglass! That clever little mommy.

Mommy has enlisted Grandma as her full time photography assistant. I am not stuck in one place anymore, I can move, and man I do. Getting these sitting shots are not as easy as they used to be.

But I do take a moment or two and give her a good pose. Grandma laughed, when mommy put down the fabric for me to sit on, I went and sat perfectly in the middle and gave a big smile.

I did this of course, before she had it all set up. Gotta keep her on her toes.

15 Months

15 months have flown by. Mommy got me to sit in one spot for a minute so she could take some pictures. But who has heard of a toddler sitting for more than a minute!

I have a new friend and his name is George. Curious George is formal name, but to me it is just George. I love George. He keeps me company at night and he likes to play with me during the day. He give great hugs and I like to give him kisses.

As I mentioned earlier we are buying a house. We have started packing and getting ready to move. Mom, Dad I am all packed up and ready to go too!

1st Haircut

I am no longer a baby. On the day I turned 15 months, I became a big boy! Mom has been after Dad to get me a haircut. As you can see here my hair has gotten a little out of control.

The mullet was great, but she and I both agreed it was time to let it go. Dad reluctantly went with us to Cartoon Cuts.

That place is so cool, I got to watch cartoons while a wonderful lady trimmed my hair.

I didn't make a fuss and it was done so quick. I wasn't the one crying, daddy was a little weepy watching my mullet blond locks fall to the floor.

But afterwards, he agreed that I looked really good. Much better than the ponytail mom threatened him with.

Happy New Year and a little Catching Up

I can't believe it has been over a month since my last post! My life has been super busy since Christmas, so here is what I have been up to.

Since I turned one I am able to sit facing forward in the car. Grandpa D was nice enough to install it in mom's car. What a difference it is, I can see so much more. This is my first time in it. I love my new car seat.

I have no problems walking around and love to help. So one day I decided I was going to do a little yard work.

Now somewhere in this shed I know there is a shovel, I think I need to dig up some dirt.

Ok time to water the grass. Look Copper, in here is what Daddy calls a Hose. Maybe we can get a drink and wash down some of that yummy dirt we decided to taste earlier.

After a hard days work I love to come home and relax in a nice warm bath. On this special day I couldn't wait to get in, so when mom wasn't looking I just got in. I was pretty proud of myself. But let me tell you something, sitting in the tub with a diaper on makes is really squishy and heavy! Oh and check out my shirt I am wearing. It says "Big Brother 2009"

That is right! I got my Christmas wish, I am going to be a Big Brother sometime Early July! Mom finds out if I am having a baby brother or sister next week. She sure is getting nice and round.

So that should catch us up for now. Check back soon to find out what the new Powell addition will be! I can't wait to be a big brother!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Dear Santa,

I have heard that you have a list going of all the naughty and nice kids. I just want to let you know that for the most part, I have been a very good boy. Honestly you shouldn't count my tantrums every now and then, I blame those on my molars coming in. I would like to offer my list of items I would like to get from you.

1. Already got my 4 front teeth, would like the rest of them to come in with no more pain.

2. Elmo - that little singing guy is so funny, did you know he can dance too.

3. The secret combination to getting those child locks off the cabinets, I know there is stuff in there I need. Dad requests this one too.

4. And last but not least I would like a baby brother or sister to play with. The dogs are fun but they don't have thumbs to throw the ball with.

Jingle Bells

Christmas is right around the corner and I can't wait! We took our family picture this year with mommy's new holiday background!

I got to play with a Jingle bell and a sleigh. I like to put the bell in my mouth and shake my head side to side, it makes ALOT of noise.

If you look closely you might see some cheerios in mom's hand. I was starving when we took these photos and was being a little difficult till mom brought out the Cheerios. She can be clever some times!

Nana,

Mom and I had a long talk about how she should post more pictures and how I will not tolerate the slack job she has done here lately.

In her defense she has been very busy and not feeling too good lately, but we will get into that later.

I am a walking fool now, but my experience has been indoors. Not to sure how to walk on this stuff called Grass. EWWW it is prickely!

My Thanksgiving

Better late then never right! haha Well I had a great thanksgiving, I got to spend it with both sides of the family. On Thursday Mom and I drove up to see my Great Grandparents, and I got to meet my Great Uncle and Great Aunt, with a few cousins sprinkled in there. I had some turkey too.

Then on Friday we ALL piled into the car, and when I say ALL of us, I mean ALL of us. Mom, Dad, Baker, Copper and Me! Wow it was a fun and slobbery two hour ride to Nana and Papa's house. We found out that Baker is not a traveling dog, he needs to ride up front like Aunt Lori. hehehe

Once we all got settled in, Aunt Lindsay came over with Cousins Nick and Carson. Whooo hoooo three boys running around at Nana's. It was a very busy place with a 5, 2 and 1 year old. We all had so much fun and got to celebrate Nick's bday too.

Mom couldn't believe that Carson loved to have his picture taken now. Last time she had tried all her tricks in the book to get him to just to look at the camera! Well he has got it right now and mom calls him a ham, but we had turkey for dinner so I don't get it.
